Students of the Uptown Music Collective performed their spring recital this weekend at the Genetii Hotel Ballroom in downtown Williamsport. Eighty students performed a total of fifty-eight songs during a seven hour series of sets Saturday afternoon. Parents, friends, and teachers finally got the change to see their students’ progress during the year culminate in individual and group performances.
“Performance is our common ground,” says UMC Executive Director Dave Brumbaugh. “It’s what musicians do and having the opportunity to do it together really helps create that family bond that the UMC is known for.”
