The International Blues Challenge Youth Showcase will be taking place in late January of 2012 and the Uptown "Youngblood" Blues Band wants to be there to participate. To make this happen the Uptown Music Collective needs to raise the $5,900 it will take to transport, feed and house the 6 performers and 3 staff members on this amazing Blues pilgrimage, which will take the students from the Uptown Music Collective, down to Memphis TN., then south along the Blues Trail into Mississippi and back. To make this journey possible we need the help of the community. We are seeking corporate and private sponsors and donations from any and all music lovers. Since the Uptown Music Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization all donations are tax deductable.
