The Outreach Program’s mandate is to bring high quality music education to groups that normally could not afford it. The program ran two projects last year, the Afterschool Rocks Project and the CAPPA Scholarship Project. Both were focused on bringing free, high quality music education, to underprivileged young people in the Williamsport area. Last year, the Afterschool Rocks Project served 53 students ranging in age from six to ten years old.

With the 2008/09 school year, a new project will begin called the Volunteer Music Project. It is intended to bring music to hospitals and homes for the elderly. Students interested in volunteering for this project or the Afterschool Rocks Project should see Outreach Program Director Will Ort.
