Open Enrollment Program

The Full Enrollment Program is a large commitment in time, no matter how great its rewards might be, we know that not everyone can fit the program into their busy schedules. The Open Enrollment Program was created as an alternative, to give those busy students the chance to take only the lessons, classes and workshops that work with their schedules.

The students in the Open Enrollment Program have access to the same high quality music education as their friends in the Full Enrollment Program. The difference for the Open Enrollment student is that they choose whether they take a lesson, class, or workshop each semester and that they pay for each separately. It’s the a la carte menu verses the combo meal, have your music lessons your way!

Students who enroll in the Open Enrollment Program still have access to all of the free programs that the Uptown Music Collective offers, including the iOn Uptown Program and the much heralded Performance Program. They also can qualify for a Certificate, as long as they meet all of the Certificate’s requirements. Classes and workshops may require either a prerequisite class, an entrance or placement exam or audition before enrolling.

Below is a list of the Private Lessons, Classes and Workshops
available in 2008-2009 school year.

Private Lessons: half-hour, 45 minute and one-hour long lessons are available for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards and Voice.

Classes: Classes may require a placement exam or another class as a prerequisite.
