The Kids Rock Program is intended to provide group classes for kids 7-12 years of age. These classes are perfect for younger students who may not be ready for one-one lessons, but instead who would thrive more in group oriented structure where there is more play and the pace is slower. Although the Uptown Music Collective intends to expand this program to include more instruments in the future, it is only currently offered for students interested in studying the guitar.

The Kids Rock Guitar Classes teach the same curriculum used in Uptown Music Collective private guitar lessons. The material in the class is introduced at a slower pace then in lessons, with more of an emphasis on making it entertaining and fun. Students in these classes work together weekly, forging strong bonds and learning the importance of teamwork ultimately performing together as a group or in duos and trios in the thrice yearly student recitals.

Students who begin their studies in Kids Rock Guitar Classes eventually matriculate into Private Lessons after a few years of group study.
