HARMONY:

    These two classes teach students about 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 part chords, how they are formed, what their called and how they relate to one another in chord  progressions and songs.

Harmony

Harmony is the study of notes as they sound simultaneously.  Begining with compound intervals, this class works through 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th chords while also studying the relationship between chords as they work together in music.

Prerequisite: Music Theory 3

Chord/Scale Theory

ID: CST

This class answers the question “what scales work with what chords.” Through the study of this theory, the student will understand how chords and scales relate to one another and how to use this information in composition and performance.
