A great way to make a difference in the life of a young person is to support the Uptown Music Collective by offering a full or partial scholarship for one or more students. Your generosity will make an obvious and immediate impact on a young person’s life. Through your gift and interaction with the sponsored student, you will have the opportunity to see the them grow in music and over time develop into a musician and more importantly a strong and well rounded young man or woman.
Tuition for one student for a full year of private lessons in the 2010-2011 school year will cost $1212. For one student in the Full Enrollment Program, with a half hour private lesson, class and two workshops, it will cost $1572. Full and partial scholarships both go a long way to helping a student in need.
Because of the Uptown Music Collective’s overhead, tuition is often out of the reach of many deserving students and their families. Even though the school prides itself on never turning away a deserving student, there is a limit on the number of pro-bono or discounted lessons that the school can offer each year. That’s where your gift comes in…!
You can designate exactly the type of student who will be helped by your gift, the scholarship name and the criteria for the student to qualify and continue to receive the support. Donors may also allow the Uptown Music Collective staff to create the scholarship for you or place the money into a general scholarship fund.
