NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: THE 27 CLUB

Amy Winehouse’s recent death added another name to the venerable “27 club”, a group of great musicians who died at the age of 27. This Halloween performance will include the music of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and more. Tickets and Information
42nd AND BROADWAY: A REVIEW OF CONTEMPORARY BROADWAY MUSICALS
December 22 and 23, 2011 - Community Theatre League
A collaboration with the Community Theatre League, 42nd and Broadway will be the school's first performance at the CTL and our first Broadway review. This show will feature UMC students alongside CTL regulars performing songs from contemporary musicals with a rock edge.
THE ORCHESTRAL ROCK PROJECT II
January 7, 2012 - Community Arts Center
Last years collaboration with the Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra was a huge success. Featuring classics such as “Nights in White Satin”, the Beatles “Day in the Life” and more, the concert was hailed by many as one of the UMC’s best shows to date. This years performance will feature new orchestrations and is expected to be bigger and even better.
THE PURPLE HEART PROJECT: A BENEFIT FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS
February 11, 2012 - Community Arts Center
Learning to give back to the community is a powerful and important lesson for our youth. This year the UMC, along with the Community Arts Center and young artists from all around our area will work together to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that helps wounded veterans and their families. All proceeds from this event are donated to the chosen charity.
KILLER QUEEN
April 18 & 19, 2012 - Community Arts Center
This year’s spring show will be a tribute to the rock band Queen. With songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, Under Pressure, Tie Your Mother Down and more, Killer Queen promises to be an exciting end to our performance season and another in a long line of great spring shows. Queen’s powerful lead vocals, dense harmonies and complex arrangements will be a challenging and educational event for all involved.
